Sometimes It's Just Blegh

Sometimes it doesn't matter what you do when you want to write; you can have a perfect outline, a strong draft, two characters with incredible chemistry, but when your mind tells you "I don't want to," that's all you can do.

I've been struggling to write on and off for a few days now. I've tried my usual tricks, a change of scenery (both literally and in the book), a word vomit document (where I dump literally any words just to keep up the writing habit), or even just not writing for a break.

How long is a break before it's a problem? And how long can a problem stay before you have no choice but to acknowledge it?

So I'm acknowledging it now while I have the self-awareness to do so. I'm going to write, even it's literally just one sentence a day until I get this book published.

SOOOOOOO, with all that being said, what have I written?

Well, now that Henry and Felix are together for adventures, they got to meet our beloved Witzees (check out my TikTok for more details on the little dudes)! The Witzees are big old scaredy cats, but they can be surprisingly helpful ;)

Soon I won't be able to tell you guys what's going on at all, the plot is starting to kick up the pace, and I'll have to start keeping author secrets.

Late 2027, early 2028 is still my expected publishing date. I am still looking to finish the first draft between March - June 2027.

So, please, stick around and don't forget to reach out to me for any questions regarding me, the characters, the book, or anything else! I'd love to connect with you guys :)
